![]() For the same principle Bezerks receive the next place, beneath Chosen Axemen on account of their smaller numbers being more an issue in a tower and not having quite the same offensive qualities (no ap attack). And their low defence against missiles is, again, negated partly due to the tower. Chosen Axemen take third place on the sole note that they can cause unspeakably huge damage to an enemy unit in an incredibly short amount of time good for shock-and-awe tactics. I still rate Spartan's over Urbans because as of 1.02 they are the superior mellee unit (even out of phalanx) and in a tower their lower defense against arrows has little play. So a units battlefeild properties (high numbers, etc) come into play more. ![]() The Seige tower differs notably from the ladder in that units do not have to leave individually. Urbans are the exception, having only a single hit point, but their stats are so impossibly fantastic I believe they surpass the games other two hit point units in this function they also have Pilla. These they can hurl at a unit on the wall before ascending the ladder or keep to hurl from the wall onto enemy beneath it after defeating any enemy defending the wall itself. The other soldiers embody the same principle as Bezerks but to a lesser extent with Bull Warriors offering a further advantage, that being pilla. ![]() Low numbers are irrelevant as the facing is so small numbers will simply not lend the same advantage as in a feild feild battle. Massive attack means they can clear the wall quickly. Their fanatic morale means they will almost never panic and when climbing ladders onto well defended walls, panic is an issue. Their small unit-numbers means they will vacate the ladder quickly and leave it free for another unit to start climbing. It's almost impossible to kill a Bezerk before another has jumped up the ladder to his aid. The best five units for seige assualts, as in each role, are as follows Rome and Egypt are for the Big Castle Seiges.Aganst a Wooden wall or a Plain Stone Wall just get 1 or 2 Cheap Onagers To break down There Walls and Towers and what ever Units Float ya Boat. Once i Won a 2-on-1 like this and yes I was the one But I didn’t get a cash Bonus Instead I ot a N00b team mate who didnt know how to use his Seige Towers.I simply Turtled a Unit in front of the Gate so all my Oponents men would Fire at them(and not at my Seige 4 Towers) than I Flooded his Walls with Cohort!
